If you do not use a system integration then you must adjust your process to update Latchel when adding and manage residents. You can update your residents in your Latchel portal! You will also have the ability to disable residents or add resident move-in/move-out dates. To do this, you will first need to add the property to your Latchel portal.

How to Add a Resident
Step 1. Click Properties from the top navigation menu and then click on the property address. From the property profile page, click on the Residents tab.
Step 2. To add a new resident, click the + Add Resident button on the far right. Next, click Create New Resident and fill out the necessary information. Click Continue, confirm the resident details, and then click Submit. Repeat these steps to add multiple residents to a property profile.

For each resident, you are able to add lease dates. Once the move-out date passes, the resident will automatically be removed from the property profile.

To set this up, click the 3 dots and then click Edit Resident Move Date. Select the move-in date and move-out date from the dropdown calendar. Click Submit to save.
How to Modify Resident Contact Information

From the resident profile page, you can edit the resident’s primary phone number and email address. You can also add additional phone numbers and email addresses. Please note, that additional numbers and addresses are only used as a reference.

Method 1: To modify resident contact information, click the resident’s name. You will be directed to the resident profile page. From here, you can edit the resident’s contact information under the Contacts module.
Method 2: Click the People tab from the top navigation menu and select Residents from the dropdown. Search for the resident and then click the resident’s name. You will be directed to the resident profile page. From here, you can edit the resident’s contact information under the Contacts module.

If you have a resident on your property profile that never moved in, you can disable this resident instead of modifying move dates. Disabled residents will not be able to create work orders be assigned to work orders.
Note: If you are using a system integration and you disable a resident in Latchel, the resident will remain disabled even if the resident is active in your property management system. The sync will not reenable the resident profile in Latchel.

To disable a resident, click the 3 dots and then click on Disable Resident and then click Submit to save changes.
Note: Once a resident is disabled, you will no longer see this resident on the property profile. To access disabled residents, click the filter icon to the right of the search field. Select Show Disabled Accounts. Once selected, disabled residents will appear on the property profile.
